J'en ai fini avec la SVT d'ailleurs, révisé les 6 chapitres/7 du thème 1 en 3 jours.

Plus que la physique/l'allemand/les maths que j'ai pas commencées /le français que j'ai pas commencé /l'HG/les SES, et je sens que j'ai oublié une matière

This is a cover of a magazine called "The New Yorker," was published between the 22nd and 29th December 1997 and it is an illustration which is in connection with a short detective story.The price appears at the top right corner of the page. There is not signature.

The scene is probably set in the USA or Great Britain in the twentieth century, on Christmas Eve. We know that because there are two Christmas sooks hanging on the mantelpiece of the fireplace, and this is typical American. There is also a Christmas tree and gifts.

In the foreground we can see a blond woman wearing a red evening dress and holding a revolver. Her face is made up with mascara, lipstick, blush, and foundation cream. She frowned, and has the mouth wide open. She looks shocked. In the background, there is a fireplace.
To the left of the picture, we see a Christmas tree which is decorated with fairy lights, baubles and ribbons. Under this tree, there are unwrapped gifts and books. Behind you can see a man lying on the carpet. He died, probably killed by a bullet from the gun held by woman. But there is probably another explanation...

The page shows a rather mysterious aspect of the scene. It is worthy of a detective story. The atmosphere generated by the image is strange.
There is a suspense that pushes us to know who committed the crime, and why. Perhaps it is the woman holding the gun that killed her husband because it would have deceived his wife. Or possibly that the woman is a spy, and should kill or protect the man in a mission. Or maybe burglars penetrated the house, which is why the gifts are opened. The man surprised burglars, who would have killed him.
