Today my topic is about Kendrick Lamar
My first part is about.... The origins of the rapper
my second part will explain .. Why Kendrick is so appreciated
And finally i will explain why i chose this topic.
Kendrick Lamar was born the seventen june nineteen eighty seven at Campton in California.
he is considered as one of the new rap's generation singer.
When he was young kendrick fell in love with rap, he started writing lyrics at the age of ten.
He had a passion for the lyrics conception and it's why
his inspiration came from : Eminem, Tupac, Jay Z. 3 Those rappers were acclaimed for their lyrics quality.
Kendrick drew his inspiration from different rap style like j-funk or gangsta rap or trap. In that
point we can se the inspiration from Eminem, a polyvalant artist.
When Kendricks started rap, he apparead in the mixtape C4 in two thousand nine.
After this he was called by the label Top Dawg Entertainment to make
his first album : Section.80. After the good sale scores and critics, the second album went
out in two thousand eleven. This album was weel received by the public.
Between 2012 and 2014 Kendrick made some singles and feat with others singer. in 2015 the
3th album is avalaible. After this Kendrick thought he needed time to make a new album.
Kendrick Lamar has not been very productive because he took time to make good songs.
The last album was Damn out in 2017 but before this the 4th album was from 2015 and
during this period Kendrick didn't make any songs. Two years without song of him, the public was waiting
for his comeback.
One fact about commercial, Kendrick Lamar hates to follow the mouvement and all of his projects
are not mainstream he doesn't want it, kendrick not choise what is popular he prefer singing a good
song with good lyrics, in one interview he said : not be prostitued by the industry.
If he doesn't follow the industry, Kendrick can create his mouvement and can be free to make original
and different projects. That's one of his qualities
For his personnality
If kendrick is appreciated like that its because he lives like a normal person, he has not
problems with cops or drugs like some rappers, he doesn't have a big house like others, just a simple one
like the middle class and he isn't active on social networks.
That's a good reason why people found Kendrick normal and it's why
everybody likes his style, it's a rapper, an artist but behind this its just a person like you and me.
If i chose this topic, it's because i'm a big fan of rap, and since a little time i love to know
why one artist was good. If I often listen to Kendrick Lamar it's because i love his voice
and his lyrics. I said it before but if kendrick is appreciated it is because it's a pure artist
but a normal person, that's why i like him, is normality is a quality for me.
